Government: Money



In my opinion, the future will probably consist of more credit cards and more bad creadit. Many people buy many credit cards and do not pay off all the loans that they take out which is contributing to the bad already bad economy. I feel as if the government will play a major role in the bad credit because they will not know when to stop bailing out these banks giving major loans to many people and their many credit cards.

The lyrics above are from a disney channel show that was taken off the air not that long ago. They present a very joous vision of the future. Technology is developed, and there is a really strong emphasis on family seeing as how Phil is taking a vacation with his family through time. Although technology has come a long way in the context of the lyrics, it will still have it's problems, i.e, the time machine.

  

Environment: Part Two



The picture above is one of a wind farm consisted of wind turbines. Wind turbines capture wind energy and sun energy and convert that energy into electricity. Wind turbines can replace both coal and oil as an energy source and it can do the work of both. I personally think that we should invest more money and time into creating and making space for these wind turbines. If we do, the amount of oil and coal that we consume would drop dramatically, which would be more than a good thing for the environment. Not only would this be a good thing for the environment, but it would also be a good thing for our economy because of how much oil makes up our economy. As always, both sides have to be adressed, but the pros far outweight the cons:

Technology: Part Two



I thought this picture was a really descriptive one even though it has no words associated with it. The illustrator makes a point to put a human figure in a black bacground so that all the focus is on that aspect. The illustrator seems to notion at the fact that the human mind is where technology comes from, which I tebd to agree with. Also when you type in technology in the google search bar, this is what pops up. The illustrator wants the focus to be on us as humans, he or she is saying that technology will travel how far we take it. The picture doesn't paint any sort of vision of the future, good or bad. It's just one focus, humans and technology.

  Biotechnology

This picture focuses on the many aspects that come along with biotechnology; all good, but some immoral. You have more crime solving, new antibiotics, gene therapy, new types of food,anti-cancer drugs to cloning. I consider the cloning part to be immoral, but it's not about, it's about what can help the human race as a whole. With all these by products of biotechnology, how is it not helping. Our depictions of a future with biotechnology is that biotechnology itself will solve all our problems. It reveals that society now strongly believes in aspects of the future. Future Wars: Without Nuclear Weapons

Fair to say that technology has come a long way, both good and bad. In my opinion, one of the worst aspects of technology has to do with the weapons department. While some weapons can be used for the greater good, others can be used for the greater evil. Nuclear Weapons are way to dangerous to be even considered to be used as a form of protection-the illustration above provides a reason why. A whole city could be destroyed, not even mentioning radiation if nuclear wapons are used.There is too much destruction associated with nuclear weapons,(I wonder why they are called weapons of mass destruction). Wars in the future could leave the whole world in shambles if nuclear weapons are apart of the eqaution. 

What makes us human is knowing when to stop and realizing what is wrong. Nuclear Wapeons are not only wrong, but they are also immoral, as shown by the video below.

The image above represents an advancement in technology toward the helmets of all football players.While this helmet still does not exist, this might be the future for the (NFL) National Football League. Concussions are a very serious problem that is associated with the NFL and for that reason these helmets should be taken into consideration seeing as how some teams in college are using them.The pros for this helmet are more than enough for it to be considered a major advancement.The most important pro for this helmet is protection.The design includes shock absorbers.The shock absorbers behave like airbags in a car meaning that when that when a player is hit, they inflate like ana airbag; not enough for the player to feel them, but more than enough for players heads to be protected more than they are. This is an example of the good technology can do as it advances in the future.

I personally believe that the information given in this video is not only accurate, but the information also creates a sense of urgency and attention towards the major problems that global warming could present. I believe the film when they say that since we have continually taken and taken form the environment, and still have not given anything back to it, even though the planet has given us warnings, global warming and climate change could present a huge problem to the future generations of the human race. The purpose of the film is mainly to open the eyes of society now so that we can provide and give back some type of change for the betterment of the Earth. Many of the techniques used in the film to help get the message across are very persuasive; one in particular where every single person that talks in the film is either famous, or a researcher, or a scientist, or someone that just knows a lot about the subject. The technique used provides a lot of credibility behind the many claims that these people are mentioning in their film. In other words, since your a scientist, what your saying must be true.







The effect of the film, to me at least, brings about feelings that change is needed. Watching the film opens up the eyes of people that do not know about the problems facing the environment. Which is really funny since we are the ones causing these problems.
